Who is responsible

The apps listed on this site, and this website, are developed and published by Tony Reeves (Tony68000).

BinHexDec

Information collected by the app

BinHexDec does not ask you to create an account and does not ask for your name, email address or other contact details. The numbers and calculations you enter stay on your device and are not sent to me.

I do not receive personal information from BinHexDec. The only data that leaves the app is collected by Google's advertising service, as described below.

Advertising and third-party services

BinHexDec is free and shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, measure how they perform, prevent fraud and diagnose problems, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the app may collect and send to Google:

• IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location;
• device identifiers, such as Apple's identifier for vendor (IDFV) and, only if you allow tracking, the advertising identifier (IDFA);
• advertising data, such as which ads are shown and whether you tap them;
• other interactions with the app, such as app launches;
• crash logs and performance data relating to the SDK;
• device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version and language settings.

Google processes this information under its own terms. For details, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.

Tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency)

On iOS, apps must ask your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before tracking you across other companies' apps and websites, including accessing your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). If you don't allow tracking, BinHexDec still works and ads are still shown, but Google cannot access the IDFA or use it for tracking.

You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

Consent for personalised ads

Tracking permission and consent to personalised advertising are separate things. In the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, Google requires your consent before it uses your data to personalise ads. The updated version of BinHexDec will ask for this choice using Google's consent form, and will let you review or change it later from within the app. If you don't give consent, Google may still show non-personalised or limited ads.

How information is used and shared

I do not sell your information, and I do not receive the personal data that Google collects through the ads. As the app's developer, I only see aggregated, non-identifying reports from AdMob, such as the number of ads shown and the revenue they earn.

Children

BinHexDec is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Dice Roller

Information collected by the app

Dice Roller does not collect any data. It has no account, does not ask for personal details, and your dice rolls stay on your iPhone and Apple Watch.

Advertising and third-party services

Dice Roller contains no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking services.

How information is used and shared

Because Dice Roller does not collect any information, there is nothing to use or share.

In-app purchases

Both apps offer an optional in-app purchase: a £0.99 tip. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. I do not receive your payment card details or your Apple Account details; Apple provides me only with sales reports. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchase information.

Contacting me

If you email support@tony68000.com, I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write in your message. Emails to this address are forwarded by the ImprovMX email forwarding service to a Gmail mailbox.

I use this information only to answer your message, and keep it only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with your request.

This website

This site is a static website hosted on GitHub Pages. It does not use its own cookies or analytics scripts.

As with any website, the hosting provider may process technical information such as IP addresses when serving pages. See GitHub's Privacy Statement for details.

Data retention and deletion

Neither app has user accounts or a server of its own, so there is no app data held by me to delete.

• On your device: when you delete an app, nothing it stored is left on your device.
• Support emails: kept only as long as reasonably necessary. You can ask me to delete your correspondence at any time by emailing support@tony68000.com.
• Advertising data (BinHexDec): held and retained by Google under its own policies. You can withdraw tracking permission in iOS Settings, change your ad consent choice in the app where available, and manage or delete Google activity at My Ad Center.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal information, including the right to ask what is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to withdraw consent you have given. I don't receive personal data from the apps themselves; the only personal information I may hold is correspondence you send me by email. Requests about advertising data are best directed to Google, using the links in the BinHexDec section above.
